Kubii Sculpture Group

In and Outdoor, large Glass and Metal, Light and Water sculpture for public fountains and reflective pools.

Kubii Sculpture Group is a kinetic stainless steel and tempered glass or lucite sculpture. It consists of numerous, seemingly randomly arranged cubes of varies sizes.

Water emerges from numerous locations within the Kubii Sculpture Group. The Water Flow can be varied from a solid water fountain effect to just gently flowing down towards the reflective pool.

This again is an almost SEE THROUGH type of large water sculpture and fountain, which does not obscure the vista behind it, and which offers the viewers many different aspect views as they move around the sculpture.

Kubii Sculpture Group can be fabricated out of glass and/or lucite materials, which can be clear, dichromatic (see Polyhedron for more on dichromatic glass) or tinted. The metal cubes can be fabricated out of stainless, or any other kind of suitable metal (depends on location!) and it can also be painted in any color with long-lasting metallic automotive paint, to match the finishes of its surrounding. It can be custom sized from 4ft all the way to 24ft to match the space and reflective pool or fountain proportions.

With the use of RGB LEDs it is possible to program subtle color shifts and gradations throughout the sculpture which will reflect back to the surrounding building walls from the reflective pond, in essence creating LIGHT and WATER sculpture.

This Water and Light sculpture takes its design idea from the suspended kinetic mobile called 1001 Cubes - and would harmonize extremely well with it in a joint installation!

Here shown from the top view perspective, looking down onto the end of the reflective pool. Here the glass cubes are tinted uniformly blue and the metal cubes are shown as unfinished stainless steel. The height of this assembly is approx. 9ft (3meter). Missing from this rendering are the numerous water exits and the resulting gentle flow down the numerous contours. Click on Image to see it larger
