Ralfonso - Reach Light Sculpture
General Design: This LIGHT & STEEL & COLOR sculpture design is called “Reach”. It consists of matte brushed stainless eel tubes Inside each tube (light beacon) there are RGB LED color lights which are individually computer programmable. It can be made into an interactive light sculpture which changes colors and patterns according to people's choices by cell phone and internet, locally – and from all around the world. The sculpture also changes continuously according to sensor input which can be customized such as music, weather, time of the day, stock markets, etc. The vertical Light windows are for the RGB lights to reflect on the curved surface of the adjacent light beacon, thus continuously changing and reflecting throughout the entire array of light beacons, creating a self-reflecting unit of LIGHT & STEEL & COLOR. The Light Windows are protected by an Ornamental Metal Mesh, which creates shadow patterns and prevents debris from entering the sculpture elements.
