Red Baron

Outdoor, large kinetic wind-driven sculpture for public places.

Red Baron is a wind-driven kinetic aluminum and steel sculpture. As the center of gravity is designed to be towards the rear of the sculpture, the entire sculpture always moves elegantly into the wind on its precision ball bearing system in the rotating base - much like a weather vane.

The 4 tiered aerodynamic design is reminiscent of the infamous but innovative Red Baron's triple-decker plane, which served as inspiration for this sculpture.

This design has been exhibited in March 2001at the at the Palm Beach Armory Center for the Arts, Palm Beach, Florida.

Red Baron is available in two sizes:

1) SMALL: Limited Edition of 10 sculptures - 20", polished Aluminum on rotating platform (see pictures below), and
2) LARGE: In any custom and site-specific larger size (10 to 30 feet tall!), made out of highly polished, hardened, not rusting chrome steel.

Red Baron is looking for an AIRPORT, AIR FORCE, AIR PLANE INDUSTRY or similar plaza, building or campus.
