DESCRIPTION: -Ralfonso Dance with the Wind was commissioned by the China Sculpture Institute for permanent installation at the Olympic Park for the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing China. Marine Grade Stainless Steel, highly polished, 33ft tall with base. Dance with the Wind is a kinetic sculpture which is designed for the outdoors, where it literally dances with the wind.
DESIGN: Five rings and ball elements create a swaying and undulating ever-changing shape! As the wind pushes on the ring elements, they begin to tilt away from the wind, only to be swing back by the weight of the connected ball.
UNION is a wind-driven kinetic stainless steel/aluminum sculpture. Multiple "wings" move in unpredictable fashion in this large assembly. The public can walk underneath the 60ft tall "wings" as they slowly turn.
