Offcanvas Section

You can publish whatever you want in the Offcanvas Section. It can be any module or particle.

By default, the available module positions are offcanvas-a and offcanvas-b but you can add as many module positions as you want from the Layout Manager.

You can also add the hidden-phone module class suffix to your modules so they do not appear in the Offcanvas Section when the site is loaded on a mobile device.

On February 23rd, 2014, on a beautiful, sunny Sunday in South Florida a delegation of 7 officials from Changchun City and Changchun International Sculpture Park, China visited Ralfonso.

With the great help of Raul we visited the brand-new PAMM Modern Art Museum in Miami and had a sumptuous feast at their excellent restaurant:

Currently the Changchun International Sculpture Park has acquired two of Ralfonso's large kinetic wind sculptures for their permanent collection; Cube Tower (8m / 25ft) and UNION #1 (6m).

Here can see the new movie about "Mouvements et Lumieres", the International Kinetic & OP Art Exhibition at the Frank Popper Centre, Marcigny, France 2013, showcasing over 40 International Kinetic and OP artists, including Yaacov Agam, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Julio Le Parc, Francois Morellet, Ralfonso, George Rickey, Nicolas Schoeffer, Jesus Rafael Soto, Jean Tinguely, Victor Vasarely and many more.

Another very nice movie about the same exhibition was published here:

This exhibition was in part sponsored by KAO Kinetic Art Organization - and many other organizations and individuals.

I just recently returned from teaching the first ever University course for Kinetic and Interactive Art in China.
I was very honored (and thrilled) to be invited to teach this unique discipline at the Sculpture Department of Tsinghua University in Beijing.
It was an AMAZING experience for me (poor students :) working with about 25 grad and undergrad students three hours every day for 3 weeks in November 2013.

As kinetic art is a new visual art discipline in China, they were very excited to create innovative kinetic, light and interactive designs - one even involved live fish...

The winning sculpture will be build in full size (5.5m by 2m) at the senior sculptor's department - here a rendering:

Here below with Prof. Zheng, Dean of the Tsinghua University sculpture department , Vice Dean Prof. Dong and several other professors:

For me a most enjoyable and memorable experience!
