I just recently returned from teaching the first ever University course for Kinetic and Interactive Art in China.
I was very honored (and thrilled) to be invited to teach this unique discipline at the Sculpture Department of Tsinghua University in Beijing.
It was an AMAZING experience for me (poor students 🙂 working with about 25 grad and undergrad students three hours every day for 3 weeks in November 2013.
As kinetic art is a new visual art discipline in China, they were very excited to create innovative kinetic, light and interactive designs – one even involved live fish…
The winning sculpture will be build in full size (5.5m by 2m) at the senior sculptor’s department – here a rendering:

For me a most enjoyable and memorable experience!
